Belt feeders are most commonly used for emptying silos, hoppers and trays. The feeders allow unidirectional and reversible, controlled feed and dosing of bulk materials. These feeders can be equipped with belt weights or weighing strain gauges.

The belt feeder structure consists of a support frame, a hopper, an electromotor with gearbox, a drive and return pulleys (drums), rollers or sliding plates that support the conveyor belt. If necessary, the feeder can be sealed along the entire length of the belt with a side seal against dust leakage.

Usual parameters:

- the usual length is 1,5 to 15 m

- width 300 to 1200 mm

- capacity 1 to 1000 t/hour
